Separation

I thought this would be fun,
But the experience I’ll never forget.
No socializing, just screens,
It’s like we’re the tech.

“Hello” from a distance,
Or maybe on Zoom.
Some say they’re used to it
Because distance is what we do.

Again I wish to be free of this,
This whole year itself.
And hopefully I’ll be out,
When this is seen by my future self.
